Drip Irrigation

Drip Irrigation is the most efficient use of irrigation water. Spray heads spray an entire area while only a small portion of the area actually needs water. As a result a majority of the water used with spray heads is wasted because it is not needed. You can also lose up to 40% of the water used in spray heads through evaporation and the wind carrying the water away from the intended area.

The water with drip irrigation is targeted directly to the plants/grass. It’s often laid under mulch/rock so evaporation is minimal and there is no loss due to wind. In areas with water restrictions drip irrigation is exempt from any restrictions. As water management in Texas has become increasingly more stringent drip irrigation has become an attractive option for any landscape.
